Our journey began with a smooth short flight to Venice, followed by a scenic boat drive to the accomodation in Venice. The facility is an efficient easy train journey to Montegrotto Terme. Upon arrival, the welcoming atmosphere of the Y-40 facility immediately set the tone for an incredible experience.

Day 1: Acclimatization and Basic Skills

The first day was all about acclimatization. This session focused on relaxation techniques, breath-hold exercises, and familiarizing ourselves with the unique environment of Y-40. The shallow training areas, set at various depths, allowed students to gradually build depth safely.

Day 2: Deep Dives and Technique Refinement

With the conditions acclimatised, day two was dedicated to deeper dives. Under the careful supervision of our instructors, we descended into the abyss of Y-40. The sensation of diving deep, surrounded by the tranquility of the deep blue, was surreal. Our instructors provided personalized feedback, helping each diver refine their techniques, from equalization to streamlined positioning.
