FREEDIVER VARIABLE WEIGHT AND NO LIMITS CLINIC

The Variable weight and No limits courses are designed to be an introduction to deep sled diving and to help the student develop the basic skills, safety, techniques and knowledge necessary to start using the sled.

COURSE OUTLINE

Students will be introduced to different approaches to deep sled diving.

Advanced techniques will be covered far beyond any current course syllabus.

DRY PRACTICAL

  • Stretching specifically for deep diving
  • Mental preparation for sled diving
  • Thoracic cage flexibility.

OPEN WATER
SESSION ONE

DAY 1: VARIABLE WEIGHT (VW)

  • Certification:
    Experience only but to use the club sled required (or AIDA 4 level)
  • Duration:
    1 Days
  • Day 1:
    Knowledge development, dry set up, wet set up, 1 open water diving session.
  • Equipment:
    All freediving equipment used during the course will be provided and included in the price.
  • Dive site fees:
    Payable to the site if applicable.
  • Requirements:
    Be 18 years or older, have completed the medical statement and be able to swim at least 100 metres non-stop and 300 metres with mask, snorkel and fins minimum AIDA 3 open water.

DAY 2: NO LIMITS COURSE (NL)

  • Certification:
    Experience only but to use the club sled required
  • Duration:
    1 Days
  • Day 1:
    Knowledge development, dry set up, wet set up, 1 open water diving session.
  • Equipment:
    All freediving equipment used during the course will be provided and included in the price.
  • Dive site fees:
    Payable to the site if applicable.
  • Requirements:

3/4: DOWNLOAD FORMS

When you purchase the course you will receive your Medical & Liability forms, please bring them filled in and signed on the day. NOTE: If you have answered ‘yes’ in any of the questions then you will need a doctor’s signature to verify it is safe for you to take part in freediving.

4/4: ALL DONE

Congratulations – you’re all done. We will send you an email in the next day or two with further course information including some exercises to start off with.

Do I have to have any previous diving experience to do the AIDA 3 Freediver course?2019-05-30T10:47:08+01:00

Yes. You require to be a minimum qualification of AIDA 2 or equivalent. The pool is very easy to pass, the open water it is recommended that you are diving regularly.
